Tap the dot beside TOTAL or ADJUST to choose which one your next input changes. In Basic mode, − and + move it by the amount picked below. In Advanced mode, the keypad types a value directly into it.

Basic steps a value up or down using −, +, and a fixed step size you choose. Advanced replaces those with a full keypad, a decimal point, and a ± key, so you can type an exact amount instead of stepping to it.

Press and hold either screen. A fill sweeps across the display — keep holding until it finishes to reset that screen to $0.00.
